Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last five years I have been bothered with red itchy skin on my face and throat. On some days it s worse than others, in fact sometimes it goes away (very seldom). I did have a thyroidectomy 7 years ago and on Levithyroxine. All tests show my levels are fine. Can the rash be caused by stress? I do use fragrance free detergent. Would linolenic oil vitamins help?
As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
