My xray result is Suggested pulmonary tuberculosis with cicatricial changes. Are still fit to work? Is it curable? Xray says there are minimal fibrotic and coarse reticular opacities in the left upper lobe with associated slight superior traction of the hilar structures Rest of lungs fields are clear Heart not enlarged Trachea is midline Costophrenic angles and hemidiaphragms are intact Osseuos structures and sift tissues are unremarkable The impression is suggestive ptb with cictricial changes. Correlate with clinical and lab parameters
As per x-ray report tuberculosis is present. For its confirmation, I will advise investigating with sputum examination acid-fast bacilli (AFB)stain and culture for tuberculosis confirmation.
If tuberculosis confirmed, then AKT needs to be started for six months. Consult pulmonologoist for examination and start AKT accordingly than after.
