Does Prolonged Tramadol Intake Cause Chest Pain And Breathing Difficulty?

I am a 51 yr old male that has had heart surgery. I was on tramadol at the time of my surgery, and remained on it for 2 years afterwards. I was making continual trip to emergency room for heart pain. Eventually I switched doctors, when my new doctor found out I was taking, he immediately took me off tramadol, and symptoms and visits stopped. This was 3 years ago, for over the last year , I have had issues breathing, stumping my doctors, I do have high heart rate. Could the extended use of tramadol be a cause or a factor!?

Hello,

Prolonged Tramadol consumption may lead to seizures, adrenal insufficiency, androgen insufficiency, hallucinations, Serotonin Syndrome, liver or kidney damage, breathing difficulty and chest tightness. Present symptoms may be not due to Tramadol it may be due to Infection of the lungs or heart failure or anemia etc.

Hope I have answered your query.
