Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering iron deficiency cause shortness of breath . Well there can be many reasons for dizziness like stress and anxiety , ear infection , meniere's disease , low sugar lever , and iron deficiency as your mention in query .

Iron deficiency can also cause such symptoms .I would suggest you to consult doctor without any delay . Doctor may order certain test like complete blood profile test , CT scan of ear and urine tests to confirm the diagnosis .

Doctor may prescribe iron supplement . Doctor may prescribe anti emetic drugs , antibiotics or anti inflammatory depending upon the diagnosis . The symptoms can also occur due to allergic reaction , so also consult allergy specialist .

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that Decreased serum ferritin levels most certainly could manifest as a symptom like shortness of breath. Other symptoms of Decreased Sr Ferritin levels are :
unexplained fatigue
dizziness
chronic headaches
unexplained weakness
ringing in your ears
irritability
leg pains

So I advise to you that you should visit your physician as soon as possible because there are many other conditions which also results in shortness of breath which has to be excluded by Clinical examination to establish diagnosis & to start treatment for Iron deficiency in your body.
