Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bi-cornuate
uterus is a structural abnormality of uterus.
It is not associated with
cervical dysplasia or cancer.
Bi-cornuate uterus is actually the single
uterine cavity divided into two by partial or complete septum.
It can lead to menstrual irregularities or difficulty in
implantation of fertilized ovum.
The fertilized ovum attaches itself to the uterine wall.
In case structural abnormality of uterus, there may be difficulty in implantation.
Cervical dysplasia or cancer both are separate entities.
Risk factor for cervical dysplasia and cancer are early sexual activity, multiple sexual partners, infection with
HPV etc.
Thus, after undergoing LEEP procedure, you need to undergo screening with Pap test to look for any dysplastic changes in the cervical cells.
Thanks and take care
