I have a colonoscopy tomorrow and am in the prep stage. I have a few questions. 1. I made Wyler s Mrs. Grass soup mix without the noodles, but the broth also has little pieces of parsley. I strained the soup numerous times and was able to get the majority out, but there are still small pieces floating around. Is this ok to drink or do I need to find something else? 2. I get nauseous very easily and I am supposed to drink the first half of the prep mix in a couple hours. What do I do if the mix makes me throw up? I can t clean my colon out if I can t drink the mixture! I ve had a colonoscopy once before, but it was a different prep that allowed me to mix it with Gatorade and that was nearly impossible. This mix is just in water and I ve heard it s actually salty. Any tips? 3. I live 3 hours away from where my procedure will be. The second dose of the prep solution is supposed to start 5 hours prior to leaving my home on the day of the procedure. These are general instructions and I m not sure if my provider took into consideration that I would be in the car for 3 hours before the appointment. Should I drink the second half earlier, or is 5 hours sufficient to not have to stop at a bathroom the whole drive there? Thank you for any advice!
