I recently was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica. Put on prednisone and at first the symptoms improved. However, after a few weeks symptoms came back again. They want me to basically start over with the prednisone and then daily dose will be 10 mg. instead of 5mg They are adding another med. to that but I can t remember the name. My alpha 1 and alpha 2 and beta 2 were on the high end. When do you look at those levels leading to cancer?
