Does Pectus Excavatum Cause Persistent Cough In Children?
My daughter has had a persistent cough for 3 years. Confirmed seasonal allergies...has gone for a pulmonary lung function test...all is well...She s been seeing a physio therapist to treat a muscle in her left shoulder...she suspects mild scoliosis...and noticed today that her rib cage is a little sunken in. My daughter is 8. Is this something she was born with and we just never noticed? Could this be causing her cough?
Hi and welcome. It should not cause such difficulties unless in very extreme cases so you should try to find another cause of it such as pneumonia, asthma or bronchitis. Wish you good health. Regards
