Does Pacemaker In Heart Reduce Water Retention In Legs?

My 87 year old father has end-stage renal disease and is on dialysis. A pacemaker/defibrillator has also just been recommended due to arrhythmias, and he is debating this option. Might the pacemaker also help his body to remove excess fluids (e.g., in his legs)? Thanks.

Hi. Yes the pacemaker could help with the fluids since his heart would be pumping more blood and that would help get the fluids out of his legs
