does an orthopedic surgeon perform the trochanteric bursitis surgery? I had a minor injury to my right hip about a year ago, where I was reaching up high for a rather heavy plastic tote, I didn't have a good grip on it, it slipped from my hand, came down and hit directly on my right hip bone. Ever since then I have have a extremely sharp, burning pain in my hip. I will be consulting my physician about this soon, but I was curious if I would be a candidate for this type of surgery, considering the circumstances. I have not seen a specialist about this yet, nor have I had an MRI done yet. My physician will probably arrange all this once I see him.
