Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Laproscopic hernial repair has got the advantages of less painful, quick procedure and early recovery with less duration of stay in the hospital. The operation principle and procedure remains the same. Hence, this seems to be preferred surgery for hernial repair now a days.
These procedures will not affect the sperm count or fertility in anyway. Hence don't be worried about such a thing.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
