Does Liver Abscess In Child Cause Bleeding Stools?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my 5yr old daughter is having bleeding stool.sometimes it takes 2 days before she discharges.lab results are pus cells 20-25,and ameoba cysts..is it what you call liver abcess?

Hi, welcome to HCM.
Your child has bleeding in stools and lab report suggests 20 to 25 pus cells and amoeba cysts, this signifies that your child has probably got amoebic dysentery.
This is not liver abscess, it's an infection of gut.
In my opinion, you should give metronidazole tablet to the child. However, since this is a prescription medicine, i advice you to meet the local doctor.
