Does Kidney Failure Cause Nausea And Excessive Sleepiness?

My 56 year old son is on a liver transplant list. Recently he was hospitalized and IV diuretics to reduce his fluid overload. His kidney eGFR reduced from 31 to 22. Currently is nauseous and sleeping all of the time. Is this a symptom of kidney failure.
