Does Intake Of Oregano And Clove Oils Cause Elevation In SGPT Levels?
good evening Doc. merry Christmas & happy new year.. recently i started to take oregano oil and clove oil after what my SGPT level hits 53. would it be the clove or oregano oil. i take two tsp of them up to 4 / 5 times daily. thank you sincerely Halasa

SGOT and SGPT are marker of liver functions. Your SGPT is slightly raised than normal which might be non significant but large amounts of undiluted clove oil can cause liver damage resulting in high SGPT. At this point you can go for repeat test after a week. if it's high then you should consult physician. For now take in moderation and do repeat test after a week. Get well soon.
