Till now I have not started my period..I had a beta HCG blood test on 15/01/2016 but it came negative...had a HPT on 20/01/2016 but it also came negative... My doc prescribed me meprate 10 for 7 days...once daily..my Questions are.....(1) As I am trying to conceive.. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Meprate (10 mg) contains Medroxyprogesterone, which is a progestin hormone, prescribed for menstrual problems, breast cancer and prevention of pregnancy. It stops the growth of the lining of the uterus and induces the uterus to produce certain hormones.
Hence, during this period, it is unlikely that you would conceive. Once your periods are regular from next cycle, you have the chance to conceive, provided you would ovulate in time.
Every cycle when regular, from menarche to menopause, does produce eggs and stands a chance of fertilization, when timed properly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
