Does Intake Of Crestor Cause Tightness And Discomfort In The Throat?

hello, iam a 52 year old woman with no history of heart disease and slightly high cholesterol, my doctor has recently given me 10mg crestor and ever since my throught feels tight and i have a hard time swallowing, could it be a crestor side effect?

yes dera
myopathy is one of the most common side effect of statin
i would suggest you to lower the doses of crestor or ask your cardiologist to prescribe you with other antilipid drugs like niacin , however if the pain is not much in that case you can try crestor for 1 month , it takes approx a month to the body to get adopted to statins, and as the body adapts to statins the muscle pain will go away.
