Does Intake Of Bystolic Help In Treating Irregular Heat Beats?

I have been taking Sectral for my heart irregular beats and I was prescribed Bystolic today to take instead. I have Sjogrens and Raynauds. The Sectral is not working and they want me to try the Bystolic. Will this be a problem. My BP has been high as well so they are starting me on Amlodsipine. Thank you

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic.
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Bystolic and sectral both are betablickers belong to same drug category.
However studies have shown much benefit to Bystolic than with sectral.
Irregular heart beat has two aspects to manage.
1.Control rhythm
2.control rate.
If age is more, there is underlying structural heart disease then rate control is best
in other situations rhythm control is best.
If Problem still persists then you can be benefited from catheter ablation therapies.
I would advise you to have Electrophysiologic Study of heart and let electrolphysioligist see your report.
Hope it helps best.
