Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Intake Of Apo Atenol Cause Itchy Rashes On Body?
I have tried numerous drugs over the last 7 years and had to stop due to becoming itchy, with a rash and swelling of ankles or my blood pressure did not stay low enough. I changed to amlodipine10mg PFI on Jun23...was on them 11 days developing a rash with ankles swelling, especially the right side. My doctor then prescribed Apo-Atenol 50mg APX one a day. I used them 4 days and have itchy areas and some rash at times. I took half a pill today hoping it will not give me a rash and make me itchy. Is the previous medication still in my body? I,m not sure if I should continue using the Atenol?
For itchy itching rashes on the body you can take some antibiotic preferably cefadroxyl or doxycycline after an expert opinion along with avil or cetrizine for severe itching and redness. You can use betnovate-c cream or candid-b powder for local application. Take some multivitamin as metilda-forte or meganeuron-plus once daily preferably in afternoon. If still the itching is persistent than you can take some steroids as suggested by your doctor.
