General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Heavy bleeding after insertion of copper T occur due to side effect of copper T. It is the one of the cause of removal of copper T in 15 to 20 percent cases. You should take ethamsylate 500 mg for as per required sfter consulting gynecologist for one months because it reduce the bleeding. If bleeding still persists you haave to remove the copper T after proper analysis by gynecologist and you have to use other contraceptives like condoms, OCP etc.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
