Does Increasing The Dosage Of Siphene Help In Follicle Rupture?

Hello Doc, I had a mc in early 2013, after which hubby and I planned not to try for a year or so as we wanted to take time before having a kid. Decided to start trying again in dec 2014. My doc started me on siphene 100 in Dec. No pregnancy. In Jan, started siphene on cd1 followed by follicular study. One Follicle seen starting cd14, 2 dominant follicles from cd15. Both grew in size up to 34x22mm and 24x17mm on cd18. Ruptured only on cd20 and no pregnancy. Will increasing siphene dosage help the eggs rupture sooner?

I understand your query.
Siphene is clomiphene citrate & is used for maturity of ovum & it's rupture ( ovulation)
The follicular study shows a late ovulation but thew size of the follicles are good.Early or late ovulation does not make difference from conception point if view.
- If there is late ovulation with 100 mg Siphene, the dose can be increased to get better response, but the decision would be of the treating doctor, by observing ovarian condition & response with previous doses.
- Alternatively, if you are a patient of PCOD- it's worth trying to treat it first, which may achieve normal ovulation.Again this decision too depends on treating doctor after assessing your ovulation study /hormonal pattern.
