Does Hypothyroidism Cause Skin Problems?

I have hypothyroidism and take a low dose pill. I noticed that this problem can cause skin problems and I have lichen simplex/healing problems, my hair has started thinning, ichy skin/rash, and wondered if all this is related to the thyroid and if I need a larger dose of medication.???
