Does Hypertension Have Any Concern During Lung Transplants?

My husband is a Jehovahs Witness with pulmonary fibrosis and hypertension, and was denied listing. Although lung transplants have been done here in Pittsburgh on two Witnesses, his hypertension concerned them. Do you have any answers for us that may help or direct us?

hi,
what is his BP now..
if the BP is very high dctors dont take up of surgery to avoid intra op and post op complications..
we woud advise him to use BP lowering drugs until his BP comes to normal or near normal..then basic assessment is done and taken up for transplant..
there can be many other factors like general condition, sugar levels, outcome after surgery etc which influence doctors to take up for surgery..

hope my answer helps you
if you have any more queries i would be happy to answer..
