Does High Blood Pressure Cause Heavy Feeling In Chest?

I suffer from high blood pressure, today its 179 over 102. I have had a very busy day at work and have had a heavy feeling in my chest all day and at present. Should I get checked out. I don't want to make a fuss over nothing, but I am 55 years old, and my mum had her first stroke at aged 37 and died of another one at aged 48.
