Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in my 38th Week of pregnancy and till date everything was going normal. Today i had my check up and found my BP a bit High at 130/100. Would like to know that is it a cause of concern and if yes what can be done. My age is 28 yrs, ht 5'3'',Wt 74 Kgs
Respected madam Thanks for your query. Your systolic BP (130) is normal but diastolic (100) is higher than expected. If you have no symptoms, it is not alarming. Still you must monitor your BP frequently (everyday) and see if the same readings persist. If you develop any symptoms/ trouble or your systolic (upper reading) BP jumps above 140 mmHg, do see your gynecologist. Sincerely Sukhvinder
