Does Having Sex While On Periods Cause Pregnancy?

Hello doctor I m really tensed that actually I was having periods during which I had sex with my boyfriend then on the very next day I had contraceptive pill butit has been like 15 days I m still bleeding or periods are still going on though I had regestrone. Please advice me whether I m preagnent or not

Dear-thanks for using our service and I reviewed your question with care.The possibility of getting pregnant while you are having your menstrual period is zero,because in order to become pregnant, you nee to have an ovule that will be fertilized by the sperm. Menstrual period is the process of elimination of an ovule that was not fertilized and all the preparation's tissues that will be discarded. You should not worry about pregnancy.
