Does Gout In Lungs Cause Breathing Difficulties?

My sons father said he was diagnosed with Gout in his lungs, that s why he is having so much trouble breathing. Is he saying this correctly? I have never heard of it. And also, should we be worried if that is the case? Thank you in advance. (very much)

Understand your concern.
I think it is gout associated lung disorder.
In gout, there is deposition of uric acid crystal in lungs, bronchus and vocal cord produce fibrosis and it lead to breathlessness or breathing difficulties.
Yes you should consult the doctor:
undergo following test-
Blood : CBC, ESR, Uric acid
Synovial fluid microscopy
Bronchoscopy
Ct scan of chest
Plural fluid microscopy

Advice
Tablet allopurinol
Tablet prednisolone
Tablet inuprufen
