Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor,I have been taking glimisave m2 so far but after a sudden upswing in my sugar level,my doc recommended me to switch to glypride 2 mg(1 tab bfore a meal twice a day).Could u suggest which of these is a better drug as i came to know about some side effects of glypride(It affects the foetus)?
Glypride and glimisave are not recommended during pregnancy as it can cause hypoglycemia and can effect the fetus. You should get a second opinion ask your doctor to switch you to any other anti-diabetic medicine like metformin (recommended during pregnancy).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
