Does Diabetic Neuropathy Contribute To Having Severe Heel Pain?

I have very bad heel pain in both feet and can hardly walk any distance even in the house. My heels throb at times and is especially painful after sitting even momentarily and have the hardest time walking or just standing. It feel like someone has beaten the bottoms of my feet and am like walking on severe bruises and radiates into my arches. I have neuropathy because of my diabetes which may be contributing to my severe pain. My ankles and heels are also sensitive to the slightest touch. I am a male, 58 years old.

Thank you for posting your concern in the HCM. Diabetes neuropathy can cause some weird problems. But, yoy need to find out whether you have any local discolouration or bruise or ulcer or edema. Diabetic ulcer and gangrene, cellulitis and DVT need to be ruled out. Please visit your local doctor so that he can rule out the above conditions . A complete blood count and doppler scan may be required. For any further information please write back. Regards.
