Does Diabetes In Father Cause Birth Defects?
are there any studies that show a link between diabetes in the father and birth defects? my husband has a very low sperm count and we are considering tese. but we aren t sure if there is a way to test the sperm for birth defects before icsi. he s 51, athletic, insulin dependent diabetes.

Yes , Diabetes can affect production of healthy sperm.
Although no conclusive evidence is there but several studies show that diabetes reduces sperm motility and may even damage sperm DNA which may result in birthdefects.
