Does Dengue Fever Cause Hair Loss?

I got dengue fever in bali in January and I have noticed that I have major hair loss going on since I died my hair two-three weeks ago. I use the same hair die for years and it has no amoniom. Iv never experienced hair loss like this before so I went to the doctor to get a blood test and they said I have low iron. But I have always had low iron and am taking vitamin b and iron supplements! Could this hair loss be associated to dengue I had in January? And how long will this last?

Hi,

I do not think it as an after effect of dengue fever. Rather it may be due to some deficiency of some substances in the body. You may also try Biotin and folic acid supplements along with the products you are taking already.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
