Does Colostrum Burn Fat?

Hello, Do the proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and proteins (antibodies) that fight disease-causing agents such as bacteria and viruses found in Colostrum still active and beneficial for adult human digestive system? Also, does colostrum actually burn fat, build lean muscle, increase stamina and vitality, and improve athletic performance? Thanks! Nancy

Welcome to HCM,
Thank you for checking with us before falling for another diet hype. Although some research has been conflicting, the preponderance of evidence states colostrum does not increase performance and needs further study - so I checked more recent studies and this is what they say.

Colostrum has no effect on gut permeability as mis-information on the net says. It does not aid in exercise recovery according to the literature. I did find only one study showing some positive results when colostrum was combined with zinc, but overall if you were my patient I would say to not rely on colostrum to help exercise recovery.
