Does Clammy Skin With Nasal Congestion Need Medical Attention?

hi , my son is 3 months old today, developed nasal congestion after a long day of travel last Wed, a week ago. He gets clammy at times but no sign of fever. The cough is just in the night and he appears to breathe better in the daytime. I felt that it could be just a cold and he is smiley and good natured most of the time. Could the clammy skin be a concern?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Very cold and clammy skin could be a dangerous sign of hypothermia in infants. But it is unlikely to be caused by a simple cold. Please instill saline nasal drops a drop in each nostril of your baby every 3 hours and if the cough and other symptoms does not get better, please visit your doctor. Thank you and good day to you.
