Does An Enlarged Prostate Lead To Prostate Cancer?

If you have an enlarged prostate, and get a shot of antibiotics, if the symptoms go away. Does that mean you for sure don’t have prostate cancer? Or if you have prostate cancer could the symptoms go away after the shot? I know it’s a weird question.

Hello there. I have read through your question and understand your concern. An enlarged prostate is called Benign prostate hypertrophy. It is not a cancerous condition and neither does it increases the chance of cancer. But it may cause many other symptoms like weak urinary steam, dysuria and frequent urinary tract infections. If you suffer from these regularly you should get yourself assessed by a surgeon. I hope this answers your query. If you have any other questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
