Does Amoxicillin Cause Neck Pain ?
please im 22 years old, i often get tonsilitis and am prescribed amoxicillan. i have not had tonsilitis for about 5months though.last 2 weeks however, i got a bad cough and cold and was given amoxicillan.i soon noticed neck pain and white patches on my tonsils. has the amoxicillan caused my tonsilitis to come back again?

Hi,
You must have developed resistance for Amoxycillin, the antibiotic has to be changed. Secondly, the white patches over the tonsils is due to collection of food materials in the crypts of the tonsils with micro abscess. Drink plenty of warm water, do gargles with betadine mouth gargles (3-4times/day) after food.
