Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
am taking Rozavel-f10 Alternates days since the last 1 month. My cholesterol level was 202 , Triglycerides-129 HDL- 47, LDL -120, VLDL-25 mg/dl last checked 1 month back. Can I consume alcohol once a week of 90 ml? can I continue the drug for long term.
Rozavel – F contains rosuvastatin and fenofibrate. There is no significant interaction between Rozavel – F and alcohol. Rosuvastatin and fenofibrate are used for treatment of raised blood cholesterol. You can continue Rozavel – F for long time. You can consume alcohol occasionally. But remember, alcohol consumption is responsible for increasing the risk of fatty liver disease, hepatic fibrosis, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, certain cancers, raised blood pressure, stroke, and peptic ulcer. It also increases the risk of many family, work and social problems. So be cautious and take care. Thanks
