Does A Person With Extreme Mood Swings, Irritability And Depression Need Treatment?

Hi, my name is Veena 31 yrears old. I am a divorcee. I met a guy in matrimony who is divorcee as well. He is 37 years old. I been dating him past 9 months. He appears very weird. - second time when I went to meet him to his home ( he invited) , he switched on TV and he slept. Finally, when I left his house, he slammed the door behind me and in less that 2 minutes he texted me to come back (I did not go). - He does not like to go out with me anywhere - No intrest for movies, shopping -He always drinks and smoke, almost daily. - Excess angry and irritation - recently he was accused for DUI - He always thinks about sex. -Whenever he calls me, its just for sex. - He gets annoyed, if I dont take his call - He confesses that he is depressed because his wife left him and he still have feelings for her. Recently he proposed me to marry him, I dont know I am so confused, this will be my second marriage, I dont want to take any chances, someone please advice me?

Yes person with all above problems needs treatment more over smoking and acohol will enhance the depression element.
Its your personal life but advice you to put some goals in front of him 1st Quit smoking and Alcohol or atleast reducing it to minimal to avoid withdrawls . sometime invite him out of home may be at some restaurant, help him to come out of home. seek a psychiatrist advice as soon as possible.
do not take hasty decisions .
