General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Wysolone is a corticosteroid. What dose has been prescribed to be taken is right as it is advised to taper the dose before stopping the drug. This would lessen the side effects caused due to the treatment with corticosteroids.
Initially, there could be fluid and water retention with the use of the drug as its side effect. However, gradually, it would subside and should get better.
Hence, he should get better as the time progresses. Let him have proper healthy diet during this period, which should take care of his wellness.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
