Does Wysolone Have Adverse Side Effects On The Child?
My child is 8 years old and have been asked to take Wysolone 10mg tablets 2 tablets in the morning and 1 at night for 2 days.Thereafter 1 tablet each in the morning and at night for the next 2 days and then dosage is reduced further to 1/2 tablet each in the morning and at night. What are the possible side effects of taking this as my child was whining in his sleep as if he is very uncomfortable. Please advise..
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Wysolone is a corticosteroid. What dose has been prescribed to be taken is right as it is advised to taper the dose before stopping the drug. This would lessen the side effects caused due to the treatment with corticosteroids. Initially, there could be fluid and water retention with the use of the drug as its side effect. However, gradually, it would subside and should get better. Hence, he should get better as the time progresses. Let him have proper healthy diet during this period, which should take care of his wellness. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
