Hello. I am a PA-c in Family Medicine and also follow a great deal of research in gut-brain connection with depression. My Kaiser family MD prescribed Wellbutrin for my depression. I am 68 y/o female....very wary of drug side effects......I have studied all of the side effects of this drug.....being bound by the Kaiser protocol, she cannot venture beyond protocol......I am immersed in research on Neuroplasticity and Neurodegeneration and the Gut-Brain Biome.....first and foremost, does this drug post potential side effects that would outweigh any benefits....to an otherwise healthy woman of 68....are there other solutions that may better address this depression? Does anyone amid the Doctors online favor a more 360 degree approach...... asked with all humility R Dawson PA-C
