Does Visanne Treat Endometriosis Completely?

Hi I have had pain for the last three years until today when I met a gynaecologist with my MRI results that he found out I have endometriosis and prescribed vissane,,,,does vissane cure endometriosis completely? And can I conceive normally? Does this vissane and have any side effects on the children that I bear eg any deformities or not?

Hello,

The Visanne contains Dienogest (progesterone) used to control the heavy menstrual flow of various disorders of uterus including that of endometriosis. However, it is only for a desired period of time, which provide the therapeutic advantage in terms of hormone regulation. It is not the curative path of endometriosis, and has many more side effects as well:
- Nausea
- Headache
- Flushing
- Mood changes
- Depression
- Loss of interest in sex
- Pain involving bones
- Breast discomfort
- Others
