Does Valparin Syrup Taken For Febrile Seizure For A Child Cause Any Harm ?

my son has been sufferrig from febrile seziure from 6 months onwards.now he is having 1.5 yr.when febrile seizure happends, it lastes more than half an hour.docter advised to give syr valparin 200 2ml-0-2ml.he has 10.500kg.i would like to know about this syrup.wethear it cause any harm to my baby.he can,t walk till now.

Valparin is an anticonvulsant drug used for treatment of a variety of seizure disorders.
Prolonged use causes liver toxicity more so in younger chldren For febrile seizures in addition to paracetamol to reduce temperature Frizium can be used intermittently during fever episodes.
Spontaneous recovery occurs in febrile seizures after completion of 6 years.
