Does UV Radiation Help In Treating Lichen Sclerosus?
I have lichen sclerosis and noticed when I was tanning for a trip that it completely disappeared and I was symptom free for about two months. We came home from holidays and it flared up again so I went to the tanning salon and after one 5 min session I have no symptoms. I m wondering if uv has been something that has been studied or is known to be helpful with this.

There is a small amount of evidence that exposure to photodynamic therapy and certain rays would help some persons.
It is not course of treatment that is normally recommended as a main form of treatment but if it helps you , it can be used alone with your other meds.
You would need to careful not to expose yourself to excess sunlight and cause sun damage.
