Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and had been taking 50 mcg of Thyronorm for some months now and my TSH levels were normal, but recent blood test showed that the TSH level has increased to 10. Should I up my dose and to how much? Will taking gym supplements affect the TSH level and will exercise help?
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I completely understand your health concerns. Raised tsh levels in hypothyroid patients shows decreased levels if circulating thyroxine. All you need is to meet your doctor. He will increase your dose accordingly and will help relieve your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards and get well soon, Dr. Saad Sultan
