hi sir iam three months pregnent, recently iknow that iam having throid stimulating hormone level is 8.90.doctor suggested me thyro norm 25 mg throug out pregnency. till now i didnt know iam having this problem so now i started medication now so any thing happens to me n my baby due to late medication.
Hello dear Understand your concern Do not worry. Thyronorm does not affect the baby and it is category A drug does not cause adverse effect during whole pregnancy. Your TSH is high suggestive of hypothyroidism. And thyroid hormone is require for normal development and growth of fetus. So it is better to take thyronorm/thyroid hormone from outside to maintain the growth of fetus. Target value of TSH should be less than So start the tyronorm and repeat the test after 4-6 week to see the response. Dose may be increased if target value will not reach (Regular follow up require very 6 week. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
