Does Tamsulosin Cause Meniere S Disease?

I am currently taking Tamsulosin HCL .4 mg caps for my inlarged prostate. Thursday I came down with Dizziness, Vertigo and ringing in my ears. I have been taking Tamsulosin for 3 1/2 months. About 12 years ago I had a Dizziness spell/ with hearing loss and Tinnitus. Doctor had me stay away from Caffine than and I have not had a Dizziness spell since, but I do have hearing loss. Since taking Tamsulosin my head is slighty stuffy and my sinuses feeling not normal. My question is: Do you think that the use of Tamsulosin is causing Meniere s Disease for me?

Hi,

Tamsulosin does not cause Menier’s disease. Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. It maybe a simple rhinitis also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
