Does Seroquel Cause Facial Paralysis?

My 34 year old son has just been prescribed Seroquel XR 150mg qd hs, for bipolar depression. How concerned should he be about the possibility of facial paralysis? He was doing well on Lamictyl, but developed the dangerous rash associated with it. Is there something else that could be better? Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to Seroquel. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like Bell’s palsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
