Does Promensil Of Double The Strength Cause An Upset Stomach?

I ve been taking Promensil double strength for 3 months with total relief of my menopausal symptoms but lately I ve had an upset tummy. Could they be the cause and should I change to normal strength? I m worried that my menopausal symptoms could come back.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Promensil single dose was sufficient to take care of menopausal symptoms and it is the double dose which is responsible for upset stomach most likely. My guidelines at present:
- Drink more liquids in sessions
- Prefer bland, vegan diet
- Intake of proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole or else on empty stomach
- Strict dietary measures to avoid spices, non veg, junk items, dairy fat.
If consuming:
- Avoid stress and anxiety
- No smoking or alcohol intake if taking
- Switch over to your previous dose of Promensil

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
