Does Prednisone Cause Dark Urination?

My son was recently diagnosed with HSP. He was given prednisone. He had clear urine for the first 4 days of diagnosis, before having any of the prednisone. The doctor at the er did blood work, and ultrasound and urine test and there were no complications. Yesterday was is first day on predinose and now he has a darker urine today. Is this normal?

Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid and is given in many autoimmune disease s including Henoch schonlein purpura . Prednisone won't cause any changes in urine colour. You should consult your physician to get his urine analysis done.
