Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can oxycodone 5mg cause incontinence? I take one pill at night to ease the pain of two separate total knee replacement surgeries (Sept 2016 and Jan 2017) if I ve had an active day. Incontinence is a new condition that I ve experienced with both knee surgeries. Thanks -
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. Well, this is not reported side effect of Oxycidone and you should look for some other causes. This is called urinary incontinence — the loss of bladder control — and this is a common and often embarrassing problem. If urinary incontinence affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor. For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort or stop urinary incontinence. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of bihevioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for continence control.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
