Does Norethisterone Help To Cease Vaginal Bleeding During Menstruation?

Already last month I started bleeding on 19th and stop by 21st and but today is on 10 but I started to bleed ..can i take norethisterone tablet for stopping the bleeding but I already started menstruating.. will taking of norethisterone now stop bleeding??

Hello,

Such irregular menstrual bleeding can be due to either implantation bleeding or early pregnancy with a hormonal deficiency or hormonal imbalance ( incidental by psychological or physical stress or ovarian or thyroid problem or some local cervical problems ) when norethisterone may not be indicated. You take rest for a couple of days. Take Gynae CVP capsules OTC if bleeding is excessive. If not controlled in 2-3 days. Consult a gynecologist. To take hormones without doctor's advise is not recommended.
