Hello,

Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker drug group. It can decrease arterial smooth muscle contractility. Subsequently, the blood vessels get dilatated.

This type of action involves an alteration in the regular functioning of muscles explaining why you feel weakness. Talk about this side effect to the doctor who prescribed this in order to change therapy.

Take magnesium and calcium supplement, they will help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
